What You Might Be Wondering
-
I offer individual, couples, and intensive sessions (EMDR) via telehealth or in-person. I also run groups by request.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to alleviate distress from traumatic memories. Developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in the 1980s, it uses bilateral stimulation—typically guided eye movements—to help the brain reprocess "stuck," painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity and allowing healing.
-
Yes, I do offer EMDR virtually and offer a few options to deliver what we call Dual-attention Stimulus (DAS).
-
Yes — This is one of my areas of expertise and what I’ve had success implementing with my clients. There have been adaptions recognized by EMDRIA (The EMDR International Association) for “Neurospicy” or Neurodivergent clients who have higher sensitivity to the 8 phases of EMDR.
-
Yes, I have (and continue) to work with clients in other capacities, including Veterans, First Responders, Indigenous People, and anyone who has experienced trauma.
-
My work is both trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming, which means I consider how your nervous system, life experiences, and the way your brain works all intersect. Many of my clients have spent years feeling misunderstood, pathologized, or pressured to push through — but here, I move at your pace. Some of the things I pay close attention to are:
Nervous system regulation and emotional safety, The impact of past experiences and relational wounds
Sensory needs, executive functioning differences, and burnout
The strengths that often accompany neurodivergence
Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” I focus on your strengths, building safety, self-understanding to create sustainable change. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual preferences and history — not a one-size-fits-all model.

-
You can reach me via our contact page, or you can set up a consultation call on my “Appointments” page at the top. I try my best to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
-
Working with me feels steady, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your pace.
We don’t just talk about what’s happening on the surface — we explore your thought patterns, and your relationships, and how past (possibly traumatic) experiences may still be living in your body. I help you notice patterns with curiosity instead of criticism, so insight leads to compassion rather than shame.
Sometimes our work looks like untangling unhelpful thought loops and building practical tools that fit how your brain works. Other times, we slow down and process experiences that still feel activated or unfinished, helping your nervous system finally feel safe enough to let go. And often, we stay grounded in the present moment — noticing what you’re feeling, sensing, and needing right here in session.
I draw from evidence-based approaches like EMDR, but therapy never feels rigid or scripted. It’s tailored to you — your history, your strengths, your preferences, and your goals.
Working with me means you won’t, be rushed, pathologized, or be asked to become someone you’re not (and fit in societies box). I foster safety, self-trust, and sustainable change — honoring both the resilience that shaped you and the healing that’s still possible.

I’m an out of network provider so this means I do not take insurance. Many of my clients intentionally choose self-pay because it allows our work to remain focused on you — not on a diagnosis, session limits, or insurance company requirements. Insurance often requires a mental health diagnosis to authorize treatment and may dictate the type, frequency, or length of sessions. Working privately gives us more flexibility, privacy, and control over your care.
